The summit explored the future of quantum technology, highlighted Montana’s leadership in research and innovation, and celebrated the launch of QCORE.
In August 2025, the Industry & Innovation Summit brought together six panels and keynote speakers from academia, government, and industry, alongside demonstrations of emerging technologies including cryofacility systems, LiDAR, free-space optics, and drones. Keynotes were delivered by Michael Hayduk, Deputy Director at the Air Force Research Lab Information Directorate, and Dr. Jacob Taylor of the University of Maryland’s Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
Engine Works also opened its doors to the community, hosting an open house and co-leading a launch social with the Montana Photonics & Quantum Alliance—creating space for researchers, students, policymakers, and local residents to connect. The week concluded with the Ideathon finale, where student teams presented solutions to strengthen the quantum ecosystem.
By convening diverse voices and perspectives, QCORE Launch Week showcased Montana’s growing potential in the quantum space and reaffirmed Engine Works as a hub for collaboration and discovery.
